My articles for the Decentralized Cooperation Foundation (DCF) Blog

As AI systems become more capable, the risks they pose, including misuse, extreme bias, and catastrophic failure, grow in scale and complexity. Because these threats are transnational, no single corporation or country can manage them alone. That's why, in one of my last articles for the DCF blog, I argued that AI safety should be recognized as a public good, and we should collectively strive to achieve it.

What Is AI Safety, And Why It Should Be A Public Good?
AI Safety, the field striving to ensure AI’s safe and ethical development, is growing in importance, and thus, should be treated as a public good.

In Part II of our AI safety series, we outlined concrete mechanisms for advancing the field, across critical research, decentralization, and a public good status. It is now clear that no single entity can solve all challenges related to AI safety.

It will take a diverse ecosystem of actors, including researchers, policymakers, developers, and the public, working across technical, regulatory, and societal layers to ensure AI systems are aligned, safe, and equitable.
